Angelle Burrus is an interior designer based in Temecula, California, and the founder of Angelle Burrus Designs. The oldest of seven siblings, Angelle grew up navigating instability and was removed from her mother’s care multiple times to live with relatives.
As an adult, Angelle made the decision to move to California, where she began building a new life without an established support system or community around her. Rather than allowing the uncertainty of starting over to stop her, she continued pursuing her interest in interior design, completed design coursework, and ultimately built a career doing work she loves.
Her journey is rooted in resilience, self-belief, and the willingness to pursue something more even when the path forward isn't clearly laid out. As the older sister of Fostering The People host Alana Collins, Angelle also brings a unique perspective shaped by their shared beginnings and the different paths their lives have taken.
Through her story, Angelle embodies one of the central ideas behind Fostering The People: where you start can shape your story, but it doesn't have to determine where you go.
